Y-pipe bolts

My y-pipe is going to be installed on Friday, I took your guys advice and am not attempting it myself as I live in MA and the bolts are probably more rust then bolt.

My question is I want to have stainless bolts put on with the new pipe and I really don’t think the place installing it will do that… unless I provide them

So I would like to purchase some but I don’t know the info on the bolts measurements and such to make that purchase.

Go to Home Depo and look for 3/8"X16. It should work fine and cost roughly $1.49 for a big bag full.

I made a quick trip and all i got was more questions lol

I found 3/8 X16.. but those are 16 inches long?

I kept looking around and I found these 3/8-16 x 2.. those are 2 inches long and look to be more like the bolts I need... I just want to confirm before I purchase them because in stainless they are $2.20 PER BOLT? I will need 9... about $20, I assume the $1.49 Loe was not for stainless?

Thanks for your help again

I told you wrong yesterday, It should be 3/8-16 instead of 3/8X16, sorry. My bolts are normal steel with gold plating (which should be corrosion free unless the gold chips off)

I purchased 1.5cm bolts, but they were for my cat. I would assume both 1 and 1.5 would work fine, although I would assume the 1.5 would be more structurally rigid (more metal)

And I'm hoping that 3/8-16's would work to the manifold bolts also. Otherwise, for assurance, I would just take off the bolts yourself and bring it into Home Depo. There is a bolt-guide there to measure your bolts the find out what size you need.
