How can anyone even hazard a guess without pictures? How about at least $1,500?

First call the police, then call your insurance company, then buy a magazine, roll it up into a tube, smack yourself in the nuts 51 times with it. THEN post here with this type of drivel.

How much is it going to cost to put a new floor in my house? Can you tell me? no.

Because it all depends on 50 million things

The poor guy just lost his car....give him a break....

The insurance company would be better able to answer that question than any of us ever could...

Yeah you are right but we get these posts coming up all the time now.

Accident guy: You live in flushing. Go to Shea Stadium and you can get a good deal from the junk yards there.

Did you have collision insurance? If it wasnt 100% your fault, you will get money from the other guy's insurance company too.

Make sure you keep on top of them.

It would have been a better idea to post asking how you should proceed rather than asking someone to give you a damage quote on your car.

I suspect he either has inadequate insurance coverage or the accident was his fault. Why else would he care how much it would cost to repair the Maxima, as it his irrelevant!

In New York, you get raped on your auto insurance after you get an accident. Sometimes its cheaper to just fix the damage than to claim it and have an increase in your payments.

But who knows

Do you still get raped if the accident isn't your fault? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever! Otherwise, what is the point of having car insurance?

Seriously. You know he must be in pain to see his car mashed up. I'm glad you ok and are able to repair the car and drive again. Picsw will help us know how much but I'd guess atleast $1000 off hand a decent amount in replacing the parts plus having them repainted.

If it isnt your fault your insurance shouldnt go up at all, they money to fix your car isnt comming from your insurance its comming from theirs.

Yea mabye its just in NY but no matter whose fault it is it will still raise your insurance costs, you could be parked in a parking lot and not be in your car and get hit but it will still raise your insurance rates.

Well with adequate insurance it doesn't matter if it was his fault or not.

i agree, my guess is he does not have good coverage and is in a bit of a bind. even though insurance may be a bit costly, it far outweighs the alternative of having to pay out of pocket.

Pictures would help us guestimate. Whatever the figure is with your/the other person's insurance, it is NEVER enough. Take it to a reputable body shop and get another estimate from them. Even pictures wouldn't help the cause, since there may be internal damage that we would be unable to see.

Ok, I had the same accident recently but on the driver's side. I needed new fog light, clearance light, blinkers, bumper, bumper cover, bumper styrofoam thing, sime brackets, shielding, rad support, and paint. It was around $2k but that's before the shop found "more" stuff. With your accident you'll probably need an axle, all the stuff on the axle/wheel. I'd say you're looking at $3k easy.

If your hit from the rear or hit while parked is not chargable. Your Ins. Co. will not raise your rates. 100%

Yeah t boned is not in the rear or while parked. It's only not chargeable while hit in the rear or parked. If your T boned your rates are gonna climb.

Were there no witnesses? Did you get the name and number of anyone who observed what transpired?

No it's not the same. Turst me The only time your not charged by Ins. Co. is like I said hit from rear or parked. The reason that they figure that is your supposed to be in control of your car no matter what. Sounds like BS but that's the way they see it. For example you cruising down the raod and out of no where a driver runs a solid red and people are there to witness it. Opps your still charged for it, You should be paid for your damages but the Sons of b_tches will charge you for it next time you renew you policy. Go figure~~? But your sis could have complained and moaned to the claim rep and should have gotten some percentage of her damages
