some look better on different color cars..i think if u do get them..paint them or get them carbon or gunmetal...the chrome usually doesnt look too good..jus my 2c

 

yeah but only because the bulb shattered and the filament heated up and sparked...

 

i havent seen any 95-96 red/ clears, just in pics, and i dont think they're worth the dough. yeah they look sweet, but altezzas look good too. if it were me, i would convert to a 97-99 trunk and the gen II's now thats sweet. btw, what color is your car?

i got altezzas, i get more compliments than complaints. I got them as a loaner from my friend cuz i backed into a bike handle and poked a hole through my inner tail. I was skeptical at first but i grew to like em. Gives it a more unique look than red/clears.

 

If this is a poll of opinions, I'm not a fan of altezas = no. If it's not, and you like them, get them.

 

exactly what he said. i dont like the chrome altezzas, but i dont mind the body colored ones that drifft max has. If you like them, get them. Dont come here asking what you should do with your OWN car, because you'll get threads and responses like this. If you see that you like it, get it. It's your car, so who cares?

 

I like the Altezzas as well. I have the Gen II's but I like both I & II.

What i would do If i had altessaz. I would bake them in my oven, open them up, and paint all that gay chrome inside that same color as my body. I think that would look a lot better.

hey that looks pretty good... i was actually going to paint it my body color on the OUTSIDE of the tail light housing and cover the small hole on the corners leaving only the big 2 circles.. i wonder if that would look better..

keep in mind they are the ones that started it all for imports.

Back in the day all aftermarket parts were for domestics only, if it wasnt for poeple being diffrent and moding civics instead of mustangs, anything without a V8 might still be considered rice today.

With civics we wouldnt have products like clear bumper lights or body kits or intakes...etc.....

 

I just bought the Carbon Fiber for my Black95 Max on Ebay for a $107. Anything to get rid of those ambers with out jerry-riggin my car... Not too big a fan of the chrome, although I was thinking of getting them and smoking them out before i found the CF kind. Who knows how that woulda looked.

 

I think red/clears are waist of time & money since a good majority of cars come with that "look" from the factory during 95-99 time period so most people will think thats how it came except for maxima enthusiasts. ie - honda civics, mazda 626's, etc.

1st gen altezza's are a nice option for 95-96 IMO, 97-99 luckily get the choice of the 2nd gen which look in person to me especially at night.

I might be doing the DTM mod this summer since I think it looks a lot better then the red/clears.

Hopefully nobody gets shot at for putting the wrong brake lights on their car the way this thread is going

 

I have the flat black ones, just get what you like and don't worry about what anyone else thinks about it. Its your car as long as your happy with it, thats all that matters.

ther red/clears for the 95-96 are extremely rare but they do exist. ive seen them on ebay a couple of times ... both times they went for like 300 bucks. yiiiikes... personally i think the carbon fiber alteezas are the best way to go on the 95 96 cuz the red / clears look ugly on the 95/96. imo. too bad they dont make the gen 2 alteezas for those years. cuz those look sweeeeet.
