you shouldnt have to worry about it
on most of the new y-pipes the companies have fixed the hissing problem.
(assuming thats why you want to wrap it)

sorry to ***** on your thread, but i didn't think this was worth starting a new one. what exactly does the bees-in-a-can sound like? is it obvious, because i can hear something like really fast clicking at WOT. it's not really annoying and only happens at WOT. However, i just installed my Budget and it may just break in and go away. thanks

It just sounds tinny, kinda like a 88 civic with a $30 ebay exhaust, but not that bad.

It sounds like bees buzzing around, or like something like an old VW beetle (not as loud as one, but close to it). Mine was very noticeable when accelerating next to other cars. After I wrapped my y-pipe most of the sound was gone. I later did the Dave B y-pipe connection to near the oil pan mod, and this seemed to get rid of the last of the noise, plus the car felt smoother. My WSP pipe did not have the flange that gets bolted near the oil pan so I used a large hose clamp like Dave.

I have my old computer packed away, that one has the link. I will try to search for it through the old Org. threads.
