I need Help

i got possibly a dumb question!

I changed my front brakes probably 3-4 months ago. but the chirping noise continued. its gotten very horrible and i know i have to change my brakes. Right know, i spoke to my father who is a mechanic, and he told me that it might be the rear brakes. does anyone know how to change the rear brakes. i did the front fairly easily, maybe 2 hrs including gettin rotors and pads. m,y father also told me that i might have to adjust something or shave something down. i really wasn't payin attention. can anyone help!

I had the same problem with the loud squeaking from the brakes and came to realize that the brake pads I put in were cheap quality ones. I purchased some nissan brake pads and the squeaking ceased for me. That may be it or not just my .02

I suggest you listen to your father when he talks to you about all things automotive in nature.

Ahh if your Father is a mechanic, just get him to fix it, then you won't have to know how to change rear brakes

get the manual anyways it comes in great handy. Buy the haynes one. If you have future problems most likely it'll help you in the future. If anything you will know your car much better by buying the manual.

They are very similar to changing the front. Get a manual, even if you check it out from the library. Getting the caliper piston back in on the rear is VERY different then on the front.
