well, I hope so, because I hope this little auto transmission guy will come out and race for real and everybody's invited, please go to the site and register, it's awesome
my neighbor is doing this and he has a z3 coupe, he's #3 in his division, he's really good, and if any of you maxima wimps get your brains off of the 1/4 times and race for real I think it would be a happier maxima family

just trying to get some respect for the automatics; you may not remember that about a month ago i asked for info for an auto to 5speed tranny switch.-so if you think that i was really serious, i wasnt, just trying to get some much needed respect

I'll back you up bro. You're right, we auto guys don't get much respect. Even though we have an auto, the automatic transmission in a Maxima is pretty strong. Of course, I would rather have a 5spd. It's definitely better, that's a no brainer. So, you 5spd. guys don't even have to go there. We do share the same engine you know. I can't say that an auto can smoke any 5spd. though. However, it's possible to beat a 5spd. An auto don't have to worry about making a mistake, I mean, all you do is just slam on the gas. For a 5spd. though, you better be a good driver. If not, goodbye. Just because you have a 5spd. don't make you better. Even though I have an auto right now, I have driven many 5spd. in the past. And you might be surprise that I could probably out drive a few 5spd. guys in their own cars. So, don't be so quick to judge.

Okay, not claiming to be a drag expert....but I read that auto tranny's in drag cars are better than manuals. For instance, saw a 300zx (heavily modified) in a car mag run 10s and said that the auto tranny in that situation helped it out. Can someone explain the science behind this.

auto could beat manual, if the manual driver do not know how to change gear fast enough, or a newbie.
since all you need is to press the gas for auto drivers, its alot easier.
manual>auto IF manual is good in shifting

Just curious about the comment you made about you beating a 2000.... My girlfriend knows this guy who thinks he's the sh**, and he used to have a jetta and I killed him in my max.... Being the momma's boy that he is, he went out and his mom bought him a 2001 SE... He barely beat me... That was prior to my Y-pipe, B-pipe, and Stillen exhaust... Who will be the victor now???
