Removing bracket/hangar for y pipe
I have been getting vibration in drive when stopped since i installed my stillen y. I have been searching, and found that this can be one of two things, the bracket for the y that connects to the oil pan thats no longer there to hold the pipe still causes this (can be fixed with a custom bracket) and also the hangar that is located where the y pipe connects to the cat, i guess that can cause vibration there as well. what i was wondering is if it was a bad idea to competely remove that hangar by the cat. would this cause any problems? i figured it doesnt do much since im going to have to bend it outa the way of the y pipe to get rid of the contact (hense the vibration)...so i guess its not realy going to be doing what it was intended for anyways...
any thoughts? BTW, im not getting other fitment issues with the crossmember or anything...so its not that...

That bracket will basically drop the cat-to-rear section down and most likely create gasket issues later on. Also since its that portion will weigh it down, your flex-section will always be flexing and wear it down quicker.

do not remove the cat hanger. you will break the flex section. Dave B tried to eliminate the vibrations by clamping the pipe to the engine (where its not bolted now). He did a write up and all. you must have seen it.
