How much you guys pay for 4th gen insurance

there are a lot of "kids" on the board and im just wondering what insurance is like for you guys. for me: im 20, live in houston,tx and the cheapest reputable place is $3500 a year which would make me wreck my car every 12 months to get my money's worth. any feedback is cool. btw-the car is in my moms name and so is insurance (im not on any policy now)

ps-im not sure if anyone has made a thread on this yet.

For 6 month liability its $215 down - then $100 per month for 5 months. So...close to 1400 a year w/ no points on my license.

My car's under my Dad's name and I'm listed as secondary driver. It costs just over $900 for the year which is pretty cheap. If I were primary under my own name, it would cost over $8000 cause I had an accident a few years ago, but it should be off my record in a few months. Insurance prices in Ontario are crazy.

Try getting a quote from Unitrin Direct http://www.unitrindirect.com. I think you'll find them to be very competitive.

~$3100 a year. I'm 20 with 1 accident and 2 speeding tickets in NJ. When I was in PA, it cost me ~$1000 a year, with no changes in my driving record. NJ sucks.

NJ will kill you with insurance, but I'm pretty lucky with $1100/year full coverage on my 95 and seeing that I'm under 25 years of age. I have a clean record which seems to help quite a bit in this state, if I were to get any points I'm sure they would double the cost of my premium in a nanosecond!

I pay about $2300/year for full coverage. I'm 20 with a clean record, car and insurance in my name, in upstate NY. It recently dropped to that from just under $3000/year so I'm extremely happy with it.

$800 per year for everything they offer, lowest deductibles, highest limits on payouts. I even tacked on the renter's insurance. I speed constantly, I'll refrain from saying who my carrier is. I wouldn't want to change my rates. Would be just my luck. Covers rental cars and everything. Oh, I'm 32, no tickets showing. Having said that, I'll get a ticket today.

I pay around $1338 for the year, Southern NJ. Full coverage 1000 ded.

24 married, under my own name.

1 violation for signal.

I think that is reasonable, considering that I am in NJ.
