so for some reason im always hitting the shifter trim goin into 3rd - even some of the slowest, most careful shifts. anyone else have problems like this w/ their stock shifter? i think its time for B&M STS.......

 

nope never have.. maybe your shifter is loose, or worn bushings?

 

If you put the b&m and the problem is not with the shifter then you're not going to be able to get into 1st, 2nd or 3rd with the SS

 

uh-oh. thats not good - how do you think i should troubleshoot?

First, I would go ahead and get under the car, remove the cat, and see if anything looks out of place/broken. The shifter sits right above the cat IIRC. Thats about all I can think of at the moment.
