i need help with this header and y-pipe set up
hey guys, this is what i'm looking into at.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW
I have no idea who makes these guys but they seem lilke its stainless steel with headers that are mandrel bent. i know its going to be a pain in the a$$ installing these, but i'm gonna do it later on anyways. They said all the things about the correct egr vavle location n all that stuff. i personally cannot tell with those pictures. i bought headers for my accord and i used an O2 simulator. wondering where i can buy one of those for he 98 i30. and oh, is this replacing the cat also? casue my bro's rsx, he got a race header taht replaced the header, downpipe, and the cat. pretty sweet, saved a lot of money gettign it all together then.

thanks guys, i just have so much to do to my car since i knwo a good exhaust is like at least a good $400, then a good y pipe is gonna be like $260, good headers like anotehr $250-300, then the cat's gonna be like another $100. Thats almost a $1000, i guess i can't go any cheaper in a way and should just leave it stock n be a lil ricey with jusy my home made intake....

is the maxima/i30 THAT much different than all the other cars??? because from my previous knowledge on my other cars, its kinda useless to have a bigger y-pipe with a smaller inlet and outlet from the header to the cat. hole is smaller from the header to the y-pipe which is ok, but from a bigger hole to a smaller one from the y-pipe to the cat gets gains also? i've always done everything at once for maximum perfomance n less time taking stuff apart by going under the car a million times before everything is done. i dunno, maybe its cause i had an 02 accord is why. from what i've read, our pipes are 2.25? isn't that kinda big as it is? cause for honda's that's pretty good, usually 2.5 is what aftermarket parts give.
