It's best not to just get the kit by itself, it's best to do a projector retrofit in your existing headlights. The light will be more controlled and focused than blinding, it's only about an additional $160 and elbow grease to get it done right. Fight the temptation to just get a kit, I'm fighting it too til I get projectors.

There are currently mutiple group deals for HID kits goin on so check the Group Deals section. However, you would be better suited to retro OEM projectors into your headlights instead if you really want the true benefits of HIDs.

It's not really a simple matter ... if you want HID's in a car that doesnt come with them then you need to learn about them first

My friend has a hid conversion kit on his Tbird. He doesnt have projecters either but he said you can align the bulbs so that the light is aimed at the floor. Does anyone know how to do this?

yes you can aim your down. there are 2 adjustment ***** sticking out of your headlights. I think it takes a 8mm socket. i forogt whcich one does which but aim them downa good deal. I did and i still light up everything, it just takes most of the concentration of light off the drivers eyes. No one complained about hid in stock housings before peope started doing projectors.

Okay you have several options. The best would be to get a pair of bi-xenon projectors and retrofit them into your headlight housing. Then get a pair of phillip 4100K D2S burners with OEM ballast. The is your absolutely best option. The lighting will be FAR better than just sticking a kit it. Another option would be to buy a plug an play kit w/ a harness an use those. Down side to that is that you will lose your high beams (You need your highs) and you WILL create ALOT of glare to oncomiing traffic. You can aim them down but what will happen is that you will just have a lot of forground lighting and the road infront of you won't be lighted that far, which kind of negates the point of getting the HIDs in the first place. Anyway you go about it, it's still your choice. Do as you please.
