HEADERS AND y-pipe

hmm i was just researching headers and im thinking of getting the obx headers they come with the y pipe? is there a difference between the one from custom maxima and obx?

they sell the obx headers on ebay? they need much modification the fitment is no good?

I dunno what the custommaxima ones are, but the obx / stone racing / ebay header and y-pipe are absolute garbage. avoid them like the plague. go to cattman if you want headers.

Cattman is gonna run you around $700 i believe for the headers...its a big project too with the back headers sitting behind the engine...so the install is gonna cost you alot too if you dont do it yourself or know someone.

Headers are pointless in my opinion, minimal gains (on NA), difficult to install, cost waaay too much. Not to mention jepordize you chances of passing emissions.

Sorry I saw that $700 and was shocked.

how are the obx y pipes? i mean custom maxima sells them for 300$ for the ypipe and ebay sells the obx headers which includes the y pipe? i mean people dont just give free headers when you buy a y pipe? any help?

i agree. i haven't heard anything about significant gains from headers. your best bet is just the y-pipe unless you have money to burn.

and if you have money to burn that $700 for headers could easily get you an SP2 exhaust with change for a full complete tune up. I just dont get it.

i have the sp1 -=*( i couldnt find the sp2 , but no ones still answering my question how are the obx pipes? PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THEM , thanks
