Your tranny will never see 4th gear in the 1/4 mile.
ur wire prolly came loose or your switch is broken. take ur center console out and see if the wires are still connected . if they are ir might just be the button. i have mine set up to a regualr switch right now.

If you take the shifter trim off(holds cigarette lighter socket), you can
access the wires from there. If you need to get at the connection, unscrew
the two screws in the front of shift handle. Then, pull handle up and off.
You will then see the soldered connections.
Note: CAREFUL WITH THE SHIFTER BUTTON SPRING

it does have something to do with it...with it off, my 3rd gear goes by a lot faster than with it on, and it did slow down my car. and my last run at the track was a 15.6, now I'm back to running 16's??
Dude ... the only reason to use O/D-Off is when you are sitting in traffic. You don't want your auto to shift into 4th doing 25 MPH because it is uncomfortable when you reaccelerate and the car downshifts into 3rd.
Now for my own question. When I turn OD off doing like 75-80 it downshifts to 3rd (OBVIOUSLY). But then when I turn it back on to go back to 4th, first the RPMs jump and extra 200-500 and then it shifts to 4th. What's up with that?
