carb clearner or tb cleaner
I have yet to clean my throttle body or IACV because I don't think they need it. Throttle response and idle are perfect. I am reluctant to clean the throttle body when I read the following in the Haynes manual:
"The throttle body is coated with a sludge-resistant material designed to protect the bore and throttle plate. Do not attempt to clean the interior of the throttle body with carburetor or other spray cleaners. This throttle body is designed to resist sludge accumulation and cleaning may impair the performance of the engine."
Any opinions on this statement? My car has low miles and is used mainly on the highway. When do .orgers initially start cleaning throttle bodies and using Seafoam?
I'm inclined to leave well enough alone.

I'd say clean it with every major tune-up. (aka 60k miles)
I first cleaned my TB at about 125k. I checked it a year later and there was barely any buildup on it.
Guess it would also depend on the air quality in your area.
