New Pads needed...

Basically I need new brake pads. They squeak, from 60 at semi-hard braking by the time i hit 20 they arent doing anything and im praying that i roll to a stop before the sign, and they squeak when im not even pressing the pedal. Is it ok to go somewhere like Midas (basically im 16 and my mom wont let me buy Hawk's and put em in myself) or should i go to the dealership and get OEM pads... someone pleae help. Thanks

I have the same car as you and recently replaced both rear calipers and rear brake pads because the right rear caliper piston seized from me not using the parking brake for years.

I bought Raybestos pads at a discount price at a local auto parts store for 1/2 the price the stealership wanted for Nissan OEM pads.

The Raybestos pads I bought are the PGD540 which are semi-metallic. I was told to stay away from ceramic pads as they have a tendency to squeal.

Midas is trying to flog a lifetime guarantee on their brake pads. I elected to stay clear of them as I didn't want to buy their brake pads and the price was inflated as a result of the lifetime guarantee.
