FINALLY got my refund from D2 coilovers thread. TEIN, D2 and K sport owners STEP IN !

when my credit card company told me that there was a 50-50 chance of me gettin my money back, i was PISSED as hell ! today i got my money back and i have never been happier ! i was so down, i didnt even bother reading any of the K sport, D2 or tein threads cuz i was really upset and pissed. i want to order coilovers by TOMORROW morning so help me here. which should i go for? tein, k sport or d2?? im leaning more towards D2 and K sport and wanna go with K sports but i can still get d2's which are cheaper and the same thing.
i already know alot about all 3 of these coilovers but i just want to hear FEEDBACK and experiences from those who own them. ride quality, built quality, etc. tell me how u like ur coilovers please !

plz no flamin for postin another coilover thread !

I hear good things about both TEIN (btw, how do you pronounce tein? i.e. tAAAn, or tiiiin? Sound it out, it makes sense), and the ksports. Contact Mr. Duck about the Ksports. I'd stay away from the D2's, because of the reports of squeaking.

The K-Sports have a ton more adjustability than the Teins, and early reports are that they ride really really nicely. Their superior shock valving allows them to run stiffer springs than the Teins and have the same ride quality (some say it's even better).

That said, not enough people have the K-Sports to say how durable they will be and whether they will have problems in the future. The Teins, on the other hand, are proven to be solid.

I just threw down for some K-Sports myself, so that's my reccomendation.

hey ksports are really nice, i like them alot, but they seem to have the same noise problem as the D2's just not as severe. Also the D2's are cheaper, and Urban imports is helping you out by still giving it to you for that price, so i wouldnt d!ck em over you know? all three are quality coilovers, and you decide what you want

BTW i voted for the D2's not because they are better or what not, but because urban imports was being nice and helping you and the other group deal members out.

here is the link to the detailed review that i wrote about D2's that no one read....guess its because i didnt have enough pictures to satisfy the ADD of the 4th gen owners....so many questions about the d2's and when someone writes a review, no one cares....

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=402459

i have had NO problems with my D2's. the handling is great, the ride comfort is decent considering the stiff spring rate i got (9/6). The great thing about D2's is that lowering them does not affect the suspension travel. as far as the noise issue goes. i had some clicking when they were first installed, that went away about 3-4 days later. go with D2's, they are the cheapest right now...besides, you were intent on orriginally getting them, why not get them now?

i don't suggest the tein (pronounced tayne) because they're too expensive. but if you're a person like me that needs the name brand because of creditbility, then go with tein, but they're gonna be expensive. Like i said in many posts, tein needs upper pillow mounts. Remember you need all 4. that might run you about $150-$250. It also doesn't come with a camber kit, so you're gonna have to buy that otherwise if you're really planning to drop it like i did, you are going to need new tires faster than normal.

D2, they're great for the price. Reason why I didnt get them was because like Mr. Duck said, i didn't want to screw Urban Import over. Main reason why i chose D2 over the K-sport.

If i had to choose now, disregarding the issue with MARK240 (who i do'nt wanna talk about) and Urban, i would go with the K-sport. I talk to Mr. Duck quite often, he gets less noise issues with them than the D2.

Based on that fact alone, i would get the K-sport. But again, you cannot assume that since Mr. Duck's K-sport has less noise issues than my D2s. means YOUR K-sport will have less noise issues than SOMEONE elses D2s.

I would drop Tein and think about D2 and K-sport only. Before you go to sleep, think about D2 and K-sport, whichever one you dream about. GET THAT ONE!!!!

dude....from everything ive read....sounds like d2's are the worst, Ksports are 2nd...and the best is TEIN .... why would anyone want noise problems!....i want problem free coilovers....tein has an excellent reputation....i dont care too much for dampening adjusting....I think the teins are made so that its a universally good setup-good comfort level and good handling level....just my 2 cents !...im gonna go with tein ... i think that d'2 and ksports will eventualllllllllllllly fall apart ..... 98maxse-theres no need to rush man!...take a few more days and research even further for your long awaited answers!

you're gonna have to ask Mr. Duck, but personally 9/7 is WAY too harsh for me. You might wanna consider 7/5, or even 7/4
