New pix of my freshened up ride

I worked on my car for about three hours today. Washed, clay barred, Maguiar's Scratch-X and a fresh coat of Maguiar's NXT gen wax. I like the results. What do you guys think?

...oops, almost forgot! I also took the Nissanburger off the rear. Recently I had removed the pinstripes as well.

Tim, I got my clay bar at Advanced Auto. It is a Mother's clay bar. Comes with all you need to work it out. Does wonders. I know Strauss Auto also carries them.

Ah, the rewards of claying! It's a tedious process ain't it? But very much so worth it!

Looking very good!

I haven't used Maguiar's Scratch-X, how is it? ...And to AnYonE, are we pretty much screwed when it comes to "chips" in the paint? Or are there actually touch up markers that work?

I hear you, Liquid. Tedious but very well worth the trouble. I actually only had to clay the lower half because I wasn't finding too much to pick up on top. The Scratch-X works very well. Bigger chips, though, need to be touched. My hood was a chipped up mess. I touched all I could, wet sanded and power buffed. It worked out very well. Much cheaper than painting the whole hood. My local body shop guy mixed some super black for me in a thin batch so touch up wouldn't be so thick and then much harder to wet sand.

I have no idea how wet sanding and power buffing works, myself. That's something I'll def. have to look into, if I want to get rid of those annoying white spots (chips)?

I get a sense that you know what you're doing (from those sick pics), so I'll PM you for some references/tips/questions in the future...cool?

Liquid, please feel free to ask away. I'm lucky to have a neighbor who knows what he's doing...lol. He helped me along with the chipped hood. He runs a paint and body shop and absolutely worked magic with the buffer. I can always find the answers if I don't have them.

I'm going to remove my burger soon. But what are "pinstripes"?

I had tan pinstripes down each side running from the top of the front fenders to the rear. I removed them to give a much sleeker appearance.

I agree that the "burger"has to go(which it already has), but keep your M-A-X-I-M-A logo, if you like it. In my opinion, there is too much of a gap between the lights to shave that baby - I think it closes the gap quite nicely.

But, to each his own...

I wonder what someone who practices feng shui would have to say too haha! That'd be interesting.

I did shave it somewhat. I like the Maxima emblem, but the burger had to go. Too cluttered. The Maxima is staying though.

They are 22's. 22" custom painted D'Vincis off my friend's Yukon Denali. He is selling them. He only had them and the brand new Toyos on for about 200 miles. Took them off for winter and then traded the Yukon for a 2005 TL. He is selling them for $4000 OBO.

Guy and house decal...lmfao. You guys are killing me. Funny as hell. I personally like the shot where our American flag shows up on the hood in reflection. Thanks to all for your input. I appreciate your kind words. You all know how hard you have to work to keep 'em shined up, but it is a labor of love. Just a shame the 'guy decal' has to be my bald-a$$...lol.
