5 speed swap

Is the ECU and the corresponding harness required for the 5 speed swap?

ECU is not required but if you use auto ecu then it will throw CEL code.

Try 20 cel codes... you would sit there forever counting the blinks...

Khoa,

the harnesses will be teh same, like the others said, its NOT a must, but you'd rather not have CEL's, all the missing components will give CEL's. if you choose to run an auto ECU in a manual, thers a short delay when your slowing down and you shift to neutral. the car will hang at 1000 RPM and then will drop after a split second or so.
