Brake light (ebrake light) on means you're low on brake fluid.

Did you even bother to CHECK your brake fluid or are you just flat out denying that could be the problem?

If only the brake light was on, then yes, the fluid might be low. With both the brake and battery lights being lit, that points to the alternator giving it up.

1. Did you check your brake fluid?
2. It could also just be a bad parking brake switch - that is not turning off to indicate that the parking brake is released.

grounding:

alternator to chassis (behind pass headlight)
battery to chassis to block
injectors to intake manifold
tranny to chassis (low on the drivers side strut tower)
harness to chassis (behind pass headlight)
harness to fender (behind driver headlight)

any i missed?

or ground strap on the exhaust, and some in the trunk and a whole bunch inside the car.

JSutter thanks I will check them out this weekend. I did have my altinator swapped out like 10k ago. Im just trying to remember if this was happening before that, from what i remember it wasnt. Do you think they could have put the wrong alt in there?

Where did you get the swap done? You might have a bad alternator (i.e. bad voltage regulator or diode or something). I would put my money on a bad alternator.
