i listed my car for sale on this forum a few days ago a guy told me he wanted it - he said he will give me what i am asking $3500 plus 1500 to ship the car - he said he is from spain and he will send me a certified check for $5000 dollars - he told me when i get the check to email him and he will let me know what to do next - - -any info would be appreiated thanks

Did he not state where he wants it shipped to - Spain? You could always wait for the cheque and take it to your bank and ask them to clear the cheque. If its good then go a head and deal with him. But why would this guy want to pay for a car he may never get?

 

hahaha the good old cashier's/certified check scam. watch him send you NOT $5000 BUT LIKE $7000 and ask for a $2000 wire transfer.

just go along with it and get the check and keep it as a suvenier. I have 2 of those already. LOL

FYI: fake/counterfeit cashier's check WILL CLEAR (as gross balance!) for about a week while it gets routed! It will return back to the original bank you deposited and return back to you as "COUNTERFEIT" stamp on it and draw the funds back from your account. This is when the scam artist trys to get your money or whatever during that 1 week.
