That is probably one of the best write ups describing on how to do something. The pictures and the lengthy detailed instructions make this project a breeze.

Yea MTM meaning Marietta Tail Mod

I used a different paint. Thanks for the kind words.

My muffler is just a universal 3A straight thru one. I bought it off a friend a long time ago but Im sure you can still find them.

Yeah! I did this too! lol, I get so excited when somebody's asking about it cause its something I actually know about!

I was able to figure out this mod with minimal difficulty...and trust me, I am not mechanically minded!!! Just remember to take all the screws out of the lenses before you try to pry them off (which I forgot then cracked my lense) and don't forget to put them back in after (which I also forgot to do - oops...hopefully the glue will hold it okay). I used the VQPower writeup - its great. Print it off and bring it to the car with you. You'll probably need to buy amber bulbs. Mine just had clear ones for the turn signals.

I agree though, it probably is the easiest mod. I found it much easier than the AE mod. Really cheap to do, and more rare than the red/clears.

If anybody has more questions, feel free to PM me, I love helping out...it makes me feel smart?

Yours looks great, Bijangxe

thanks

The whole exhaust is pretty loud, wsp Y, B, straight pipe, straight thru muffler. Due to the straight pipe it's a little raspy at high RPMs when Im at WOT. Other than that its kinda low tone, sounds very mean IMO.

I find the light is brighter, but it isn't as spread out because the reflectors are removed. At night it is more, because the light is more obvious as it bounces off the back of the black housing.

at night the light is brighter, but during the day, it's not good at all. just enough to know its blinking.

bijan, i was asking because i like the look of that muffler, and i want a different exhaust. i have a custom b pipe, but its crush bent and bangs around under the car. is your b pipe resonated? how much did it run you? sorry for hijacking this thread...

Yea it looks aight, I want to change back to the Magnaflow 14827 muffler.
I got Warpspeed full exhaust at once, came w/ resonated B pipe from Warpspeed. I think the total was $550 or so...

If I had a video camera Id take some sound clips...maybe Ill find a friend w/ one.

isnt the law..tha the turn signal has to be orange..or yellow...or red...it cannot be white...Doesnt matter what kind of housing its in...as long as the turn signal isnt anything other than yellow, orange or red. Isnt that right?

Just out of curiosity, why are you choosing the gloss over the flat paint? Is it so the lights reflect more?

As for the legality of the turn signal color, just buy amber bulbs. My mechanic installed some for me when I had my car in the shop. The clear bulbs weren't very bright anyway. The color of the housing shouldn't cause any trouble as long as the bulb blinks in the correct color.

the gloss paint may reflect more, but it also looks nicer. gloss black was used on mine. HectorC used flat black on his, and i like the gloss more. My signal bulbs are the silverstar hyperamber bulbs, with the metallic coating. They look very nice at night. And they cant be illegal, like chipotle said, as long as the bulb is the right color, it doesnt matter

I'm re-doing mine differently. By the end of the week I shall post my new pics. The visibilty of the light is worse than stock. At night it's visible, not during the day. Even gloss paint won't do much better. Ask Ecko, I did his in Gloss while mine are flat black.......if you want pics here they are...... http://photobucket.com/albums/v452/h...ish%20%20Meet/

I find that mine aren't too bad during the day. They aren't quite as obvious as before with the reflector though. I'm not sure what bulbs my mechanic put in there...

Also, it will screw up the color of your turn signals/reverse lights even with the proper colored bulbs, so there might be legal implications.
