Thats some feat. I would like to know what mods you have to run such impressive numbers.

well, considering it supposedly had only a supercharger and some nos. I think it's impossible to pull 9s with THAT maxima unless it's on a jet...

IIRC that car, even with the SC only did like low 15's or somethin, he had alot of audio equipment IIRC atleast 300 lbs worth. its not like that car was specificly tuned for speed, he just had a SC cause he thought it would be a cool thing to do. craig liberman was his name, or somethin like that.

hate it or love it, im glad it made it onto the movie, they coulda put in alot of other cars which are more traditional import tuners, like a 300zx, GTi, Celica, prelude.... but they put in a maxima as one of the staring cars, got to be proud of that atleast. we got our 15 mins of fame

the special features of the movie had an interview that said the supra was the fastest car in the movie and ran 12's. That whole movie is stupid hype. My favorite is when the guy races the ferrari. The ferrari gets the launch and then the supra pulls. WHAT?! is that. As soon as the ferrari hit 3rd gear the supra would be lost.

And i believe a stock maxima is about 3100 lbs. and wasn't the one in the movie yellow?

im like 80% sure that car is not from fast and furious....

1st: it was a darker color
2nd: it didn't have all those ugly *** vinyls and stickers all over the car
3rd: it had side exuast
4th: no spoiler...

unless that IS the car, and it was down/up graded after the movie, then it's pretty ugly, it was MUCH hotter in the movie

btw... was there really a maxima in 2f2f? i dont remember seeing it.

Ha, def a joke. I just watched the fast and the furious again (Dont ask, wasnt me, it was my friend), and I laughed the whole time. I just thought it was hilarious when he started talking about nasty hulls or whatever he said and adjusting the timing to run 9??? Honestly, that is the most ricer thing I have ever heard. A Max running 9's on street tires........Pfffff.

Damn I just saw it on TNT or USA something, and its just plain ignorant when Paul Walker looses the first 1/4 mile race ( that lasted for about 4 mins driving at 140mph ) and Vin is ragging on him and say "Granny shifting not double clutching like you should. . . " it makes you wonder if the writers know anything about cars or have just heard various terminology and can barely apply it to a conversation.

the yellow car was the R33 skyline...they used that car in the pikes peak hill climb a while back, and repainted the car yellow for the movie.

There was no Maxima in 2F2F... If they make a 3rd followup, we'll most likely see the 5th Gen Max in there, not them big bodied 6th gens =x

No love for the S2000? As far as the Supra Ferrari thing . . I'll admit that it would be a great sum of money to put the Supra on par, but those things can be made into top-end monsters. Oh wait, the movie wasn't based on fact at all anyway. . . "theres a nasty hole in your fuel map, that's why you're unloading in third" . . ."I told you it was third"

Whoever said they just picked out random tech phrases . . .

that is the max in f and f becuase I loved that movie when I was younger it really was like the only import car movie out then supranoza came out and gone in 60 seconds.
the stickers were only for promotions also the black s2000 had some nija stars on it that were removed after the movie only becuase it was done for the movie.

Correct ^^^

Almost all the cars were changed for the movie, mostly exterior stuff. If ur car was in the movie, universal had all the rights to it, so they could do whatever they wanted. And I heard the maxima belonged to liebermans wife
