AE mod gone bad...

I was donig the AE mod today. Everything went smoothly until it was time to remove the tape. As i removed the tape, some of the chrome finish went along with it. I used Scotch painters masking tape. Now i have parts of my headlight that are stripped of the chrome finish. Is there anything i can do about this?

I heard of this happening to somebody else too. Did you put the tape on when the lenses were "fresh" out of the oven? If so maybe the heat made the adhesive on the tape stick more. It's too bad that happened! I hope you get it fixed all right.

It needs to be high heat. I found a can of chrome spray paint at strauss but its only good up to 120 degrees. I rather fix it then spend the money on a new set.
Is there a product similar to the black engine enamel that i used to do the ae mod thats chrome?
