Coilovers?

Coilovers?
It has recently come to my attention that my rear passenger side shock is on it's way out. Hitting any large bumps at high speeds will swing the rear of the car right about 6in. So my question is which coilovers should i be considering? I was thinking of some K-Sports, but some of you say they are noisy while others say they are fine. Any other good options out there?
Thanks in advance.

Ksports offer a lot of adjustability (umpteen levels of height and damping adjustments) for what you pay. Also consider Tein Basics (height adjustable only) if you're looking at the Ksports. Progress has a set of coilovers for the 4th gen, which will be more expensive compared to Ksport and Tein. Be sure to keep in mind the spring rates for each of these coilovers, depending on the type of driving you will be doing (street with lots of potholes, flat highways, racing only..etc)

I've been riding on Ksports for a little over a week now and I love them. It'll take some tinkering to set them the way you want them, but they ride pretty darn well considering how freakin' stiff the springs are, and the handling is incredible. The GD has been extended through June for $780 shipped, which also makes these coilovers the cheapest -- it puts them on par with Tein Basics, which just do not have the same adjustability.
You might get a bit more bounce on a rough highway with the Ksports, but from what I can tell, ride quality in other cases will be just as good as -- if not better than -- the Tein Basics. 5th gen owners are saying the Ksports ride better than the Tein SS, which use the same spring rates as the Basics -- that's important, since the Ksports have significantly stiffer springs than the Teins.
The only arguments in favor of the Tein Basics is that they won't bounce as hard over really really bad highway sections, and they have a proven, very solid track record. The Ksports are a very very new product, and while almost everyone who has them loves them to death, it's too early to say how they'll last.

^ what they said. id go with something that has been proven. if you were thinkig about the new products that have just come out, id wait it out to see whether or not there are problems with the construction. its just way too knew to jump on. gotta look at the company's background and review on all their products. i recommend the Tein basics over the new stuff. its been in the market for so long.

ive been riding on the ksports for about a month now, no problems at all, no noise, ride is very nice, and the adjustablity is great, i have ZERO complaints on them. i believe i was the first 4th gen to be riding on the ksports on the .org, and they are great, and i am VERY happy with my purchase. i actually got them for 700 shipped which is not available any more and for that price, i am even happier with my purchase. the 780 shipped is still a helluva deal for these.

"You get what you pay for" applies to suspension components.

I'm in the same boat as you... my rear driver side shock is leaking and my car swings. I have my eye on either some ksport coilovers or tein basics... haven't made my decision yet. I'm leaning more towards the tein's simply because of the fact that they have been around longer. I have already tried new products on my car (warpspeed super-flo) and were very dissapointed. So I'm not taking any unneccesary chances again. I doubt this is important at all but I will also be putting 18's after I put in the coilovers.
