Medium or Dark Montana Blue, a GM color used from 94-99 always like it, or black

Heres a pic of mine. I chose starfire blue pearl because it most resembled the skyline blue color and the pearl looks sic at night and in the sun.

Isn't a good paint job pretty pricey? If your current color is nice, I'd keep it. Plus, isn't that a pretty unique color for a max as is? Have any pics with the current color to post?

i'd go with a metallic silver (my pick), graphite, gold or pearl white...since those colors always make the car look clean even if it's filthy as hell. blue, black and red look good but they do a sh*tty job at keeping clean. didn't know that there was an r34 kit available got a link so I can check it out?

yea..the paint job is pricey but i have connections..reason y i m repainting the car is because i will have a body kit on soon and has lots of scratches on the rear and quater panel mostly that cannot get rid of. i bought the car like this so yea..with 3 very small door dings. i have some pix of my car http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=401619 but no updated pix yet

I think any shade of blue looks great on a Maxima. If I ever paint mine, I think I'll either do blue, or see about adding some blue pearl into my white.

That's a NICE color you have right now. I'm not a perfectionist, so i'd probably compound all of the scratches as best I could, touch-up anything that went all the way through the paint (to prevent rust) enjoy my still nice looking, but not perfect, car.

But hey, if you can get a deal on the paint job, go for it. Can I get in on this deal? I'd gladly drive to NJ to make my dark green maxima a nicer color if it didn't cost me an arm and a leg!

I'm also a fan of a some-what dark mettalic blue. But not too dark. You still want the blue to shine through. Look at new cars in showrooms and see if you can find a really nice metallic blue, then get the paint shop to match the color!

If I was going to repaint my maxima I would go for a dark blue metallic as well. Something a lot like this M3 that I snapped a shot of at Hot Import Daze here in pittsburgh:

That might be a little darker than what you were talking about, but that is the color I would go with.

:edit:
Here is a close up shot:

yeah i got the whole exterior and the door jambs done for $900 at a local shop. $500 for the paint and $400 for the labor. I got a steal...but i also made friends with the painter. Now ive just gotta learn how to paint and do the trunk and engine bay as well cause its still nasty tan.

There's a Toyota color called Renaissance Red that came on the newest Supras - great color. My 240Z is painted that color and I've dreamed about painting my Max that color.

For a quality paint job that's a steal. How many coats of paint and gloss? Will they remove all of the panels to paint them or did they just "tape and spray"?
