i tore off a little peice of the pinstripe yesterday and underneath is like a black stri[e i guess due to inexposure of the sun. i rubbed a lil goo gone on it but how long before the black stripe is gone?

Is the black stripe very noticeable now? Make sure it's not glue residue... you might have to really scrape at it. I removed mine on a 90+ degree, sunny day. WD40 did a better job for me than Goo Gone, just be sure to wash it all off.
If the stripe isn't extremely noticeable, it should be gone within a few weeks.
