I am going to order a y-pipe from budget, and I have a 99 maxima, but I do not know if I have a cali spec or fed spec, is there any way to find out. The guy told me that reading the VIN would not be accurate, but I read in the 4th gen faqs to read a part of the VIN to see if I have a cali spec, and I do have a cali spec from what the faqs told me, but I need to make sure before I make a mistake. Help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

If the VIN# comes up Cali-spec in FAQ, trust the FAQ.
