I was having problems with my cd player and had someone look at it. Well I decided to go to Circuit City and they looked at it right away. Well when he was putting everything back in he must have done something wrong cause now the top piece with the hazard lights, rear defrost and clock on it wont snap all the way down. You can see a little gap in between the top piece and the center console now. I opened it up and took a look for myself and found the there are two liitle pegs that stick out on the lower left and right of the top piece that are suppose to go into two small holes. The left one is a little smaller like it got broken when he was trying to pry it back in. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and any alternatives to fixing this, then please let me know. Thanks in advance

go to http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=40505

If the retainer clip is indeed broken, bring it back to Circuit City and have them fix it for you. You shouldn't have to deal with someone else's screw-up.

I did the clock mod
and couldn't get the dash back
- same problem.

check out this thread:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....143#post304143

it's allabout that.

thing is it has conflicting instructions...

you should also try a search
there was another thread about this.

Also, I got a picture from the shop manual on removing the piece [but not replacing it] from somebody on the org
[forget who now] - this was related to the clock rewiring mod.
You might try searching the forum for the clock posts.

also
in that thread I just told you about
the all knowing D. B. Martin supplied this:

"Install Doctor has good instructions with photos. This item

http://www.installdr.com/InstallDoc.../PDF/647021.pdf

covers removal and installation of the radio.
You need do only steps 1 - 2.
Since this is a PDF file you will need Acrobat to read it."

This guy is a great source of information
