Are you Boosted ??

It really all depends on where you have the EGT Sensor along your exhaust...Right out of the manifold will show hotter then down by the Y-pipe split.

The best way, if your boosted, is to get the EGT guage, get Tuned, then run a few full boost runs and record your temps...then down the road, you know what a good reading is

If your not boosted or spraying, there really isnt a use for an EGT gauge...your not adding any more fuel or Air

i am boosted, and i'm a month away from going to a tuning shop... but i want to know if i am running lean or rich or wat not... it would be mounted on the Y pipe so what is a good temp for a boosted car w/ a 3.125 pulley?

What FMU are you using, if any ??

I am currently running a Cartech FMU, Walbro pump, AEM FPR, and I have the EGT mounted right where the Y-pipe Comes together at the Y...I see anywhere from 1200-1300 full boost...which may be rich cause I have it set up that way till I put in my JWT..I will see what is normal when I put in my JWT, 370's and MAF
