not even close. while the 2-piece one are very nice, 5zigens are nothing "ultimate", or even 5 steps below it. maybe they'll sqeeze in the top 20. bbs, advan, work, ssr, oz... so many others are way above it. the only real thing going for 5zigens is the price. unless you have a show car, it would be stupid to put expensive wheels on a maxima, especially in NY. i know, i drive through the same potholes as you do! but yeah, nice choice.

well i am very picky and the Nismo so far had been the only rim i liked besides this one plus these are very durable for the potholes we both drive through but since i dont mind seeing alternatives give me some links to some of the ultimate rims on your list maybe ill find something i like. But to me these are the key rim for my car i love the black chrome look for my black beauty

i forgot to mention Volks by RAYS , i think they make NISMO wheels . anyway, they're very nice. i think your choice is fine, but careful with 19s, cause potholes will eat rubber and bend/crack rims. ask POLO, he has a lot of experience running big rims in NYC.

i'm not sure if i'm correct on this, someone can tell me if i'm wrong. 2 piece is lighter correct? but it is also weaker? n i know that 2 piece is more expensive. but i have a set of 5 zigen 17's 5zr just layin around, heh, n they're heavy as hell. without the tires they feel almost as heavy as my adr sokudo's plus the weight of the tire. n just a lil lighter then my tenzo mean 6 18 in with 1 1/2 times weight of the tires. The way to go is Volk racing. my bro has 2 sets, lemme tell you, they're freaking light. with the tires on, they're as heavy as just one of my rims

Anyways, good luck with 19's in NYC !!!!!!
P.S. i always get so jealous of those cabby's driving over those big a$$ bumps at like 40 mph when i'm going over them at like 10 mph

2-piece is generally lighter and more times than not, stronger than 1-piece. they're also supposedly more repairable, as the center can be detached from the bent/cracked outer part and fixed/replaced.
as far as cabbies go - that's why i ride on stock 15s, because i really would hate stopping in front of every pothole.

it's $800 for all 4, right?
I'd also agree on the 2-piecers. are they cheaper to repair if bent?

sorry, thats what i meant by weaker for 2 piece, its in the lip. most of the time its only the lip that will bend with only a pothole. I seriously dunno why you're planning to ge 19's if you live in BX. you're tires are going to be really really relaly really thin. you will basically need to drive with 4 eyes just to avoid all of them. you can say how careful you're ognna drive, but its gonna be that one time when you CANNOT avoid it that your rim will bend. i've also misjudged the depth of the pothole. oh, and by having so many different rims, i've noticed that on 18's, if you hit a pothole and your cd skips, you just bent your rimmies... i had 18's n went up to killington to go skiing. picked up my girl in boston n went. bent my rim going up to the mountain. had to drive from killington, VT to boston ,ma n then home to old bridge, nj on a donut!!! lemme tell you, it wasn't a fun ride home. but i did however was still passing people on my donut...-= ) this was on my accord tho. but i have 18's not on my i30 cause i can have bigger tires. but the 19's, man, think about the price of the tires. hope you have a nice bank account, cause you're gonna have to break that piggy bank of yours

eh if theyre anodized rims watch out. they look good when they are new but after a while the rim will look like it is bleeding because little debris will hit the rims while you are driving. give an update after a couple of months ;]

its $800 for all of them. there is no way that its $800 for one rim. you're talking about like 24 to 26 inch chrome rims. n for $3200, you should be able to get 24 inch chrome with tires. i don't think that they make 18 in rims that are $800 each, at least not ones that any of us will put on anways. especially in NYC

I don't like all those holes in the middle where the lugs are on the nismo... looks tacky. Back to the thread though... the second choice is definitely hotter. Not crazy about those rivets.

Not exactly the same wheel, but this will give you a clue as to what these wheels run a piece...

well now i am reconsidering since i do live in NY damn potholes.... ::sigh::

I may get Konig unknowns also cuz they are light and i may get them in 18s with the coilovers. Or RacingHart CH's, CX's thereare so many to choose from.... Those Nismos i would buy them if they were black chrome with polished lips

Nismo wheels are nice, but at 2G's for wheels and no tires is too $$$ for me!

Those two piece wheels are $800 EACH, there's no way you are going to get 4 chromed 19" wheels for only $800 total, and especially not forged ones at that...

good luck even finding decent cast 18"s in chrome for only 200 each...
