Muffler Question

well, i'm plannin on putting a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler onto my stock 2 1/4" piping. but my problem is whether i should get a 2-1/4" or a 2-1/2" one. i'm not familiar with welding at all and was wondering if i should get the 2-1/2" one so that there would be no funnel-effect when i switch to 2-1/2" piping in the near future.

i know that this probably sounds confusing, but if you can help me out, thanks.
if you don't get it, maybe just ask me a question, and i'll try to clear things up.

thanks

to help clarify, here's a link

i'm looking at the offset in/center out model #'s: 289-17731 or 289-17733

definitely 2.5". 2.25" is stock...2.5" is the size you want for a naturally aspirated max. 3" if you're boosted

If you got the money just let them change the pipe out and install the muffler all in one shot. I got quoted $80 to run 2.5" from the cat back (just the pipe installed).

You guys are lucky to get deals like that. Goodluck getting quotes that low here in the Northeast! I agree though, def do the entire catback while you're at it
