Hello. I just purchased a set of wheels and i will be buying these tires:

I'm paying $49 per tire for 225/60/16 and $30 more for balancing for 4 tires. Can anyone on here find me a better price on these tires? Any performance shop in Los Angeles area that can get me a slightly better deal than that? Maybe same price but free balancing? Thanks for your help.

 

first place i went to said it would be $550 mounted/balenced, with road hazards for my tires. which are 235/45/17 kumhos 712s. that was @ america tire center.

then i went to discount tire center and told them, america tire center told me $470 mounted/balenced blah blah. "can u match that price"...they said sure, we'll match that price.
i said cool, ill be back. before i left i asked the guy if he can write it down on a card. so he did.

next day i went back to america tire center, and said discount tire center said $470, can you beat that price?
they said yeah we'll beat it by 10 bucks..i also kept my old tires and sold them. for $175(they were still good, with good tread, but they were 215/40/17)
saving my old tires, saved me another 10 bucks..
sooooooo

i went from....$550
to ............$460
saved old tires-10
sold them......-175
i paid.........$275.............

 

Hey buss....isn't the discount tire co and americas tire co the same company? And which ones did you go to? I live in woodland hills, but if i have to drive up to northridge i don't mind.

 

america tire center or company whatever isn't the same as discount tire CENTER. ur thinking about discount tire company. i know its confusing. anyway i think ur confused, i dont live in northridge(i go 2 csun). i live in south la.
but try going to any shop that i mentioned. use ur bargining(sp?) skills. and just do what i did. trust me they want ur business.
