Questions about 5 gen muffler system on 4th gen

My muffler recently went and I was looking into getting a 5 gen muffler setup. What are the pros and cons about it? Do you lose or gain any horsepower? Also will it line up right with the stock hangers? How much would it cost and where would I get one? What year do you get it from also because the 00, 01 have a different motor than the 02,03? Thanks.

No Loss, no gain, littler bti of a deeper sound at WOT. You'll have to get a shop to weld it on, its not a bolt on.

The hangers line up, but you'll have to have to get it welded to your exhaust pipe. Had it welded at the red circle (not directly onto my b-pipe):

Different engine doesn't mean different muffler. Dealership, sleaze, www.car-part.com, www.pinnaclenissan.com. No noticeable gains.

I gathered that a lot of 4th Genners get a 5th Gen muffler because they like the look better with one. Is that a fair statement?

"Many people like the idea of this because it adds a nicer exhaust tone but still keeps it quiet and looks better than the stock 4th gen muffler."

this pretty much sums up why i did it. I hate loud exhusts.....nothing worst than driving 500 miles somewhere and hearing a monotone exhust sound the whole time....i think i would fall asleep. I rode witha buddy who had a civic with some exhust and i could not stand it after awhile....

same with most mufflers it does not add anything(execpt an ebay muffler which adds 7-10hp )

What would you guys think a y pipe, 2.25" mandrell bent b pipe and 5th gen muffler sound like? I know its not 2.5", but im speculating that 2.5" w/ y pipe will be loud either way. I think i should replace my exhaust before i do other mods, since i dont give a fawk what my parents say about modding anymore.
