Ok I have a brake problem (warning 56k)

Ok this is what happened. About a month and a half ago I start hearing a rubbing sound from my rear brakes like werent releasing. At first the sound was small and wouldnt happen that often. Then about a week ago it got so bad i thought the car was going to fall apart. So finally I decided to take a look at the rear passenger brakes which is where all the noise is coming from. The first thing I noticed was when I put the e-brake on and took it off it then tried to turn it it wouldnt move. So my brother started moving the ebrake line a little and we saw it releasing slowly and then we could turn it with no problem. So we looked under the car and saw that one of the clamps holding ebrake line was bent up causing the line to rub on some metal under the car until it evetually cutting a hole in it. I did bend the clamp back down the way it is supposed to be and noise is gone. What I need to know is how serious this problem is? What do i need to replace? And how much it might cost? Sorry about the picture size guys.

No pic is showing... but here is your exact problem:

If the sheathing on the cable is torn, you'll have to replace the cable. Most likely you'll have to replace the rear pads/rotors too (eventually).

Copy pic links and paste them in a new window to see the pics. Yep - it looks like your cables need replacing. I think they're about $60 each

my car has this problem too, At my tech school one of my teachers was a nissan tech for 15 years and said that that problem happens when people try to rack up a car and pinch teh parking cable to the metal part, cutting the cover and making the cable itself rust. YOu have to replace the rear part of the parking cable, like, mid section of ur car above the exhaust u should see the 2 parking cables meet. I htink a couple bolts and at the rear calipers should do it. Price?? I dunno. Hope that helps
