For the illumination, maybe check the dimmer switch. Is it turned all the way off? For the radio, pull the fuse and see if it's good or not, and replace it with the same fuse rating if needed.

I would say that it is the dimmer wheel. Sometimes when I am detailing I don't even notice and accidently slide it. Some of the time I'm like "#($*)#$(*" and it is about the last thing that I check.

ok man..solution is here = when you turn on your lights (when the car is off)..do you hear a beeping sound?...maximas are naturally supposed to alarm you if your lights on while your car is off...to remind you to turn them off...it there is no beeping sound when your car is off and the lights are on...your tail lights are out man...you blew a fuse...start by changing the tail lights fuse...(it can sometimes effect illumination)...then when you change all 2 fuses inside your fuse box..open your hood and change the 1 in there...after that go to change the 3 fuses for electronic parts inside the car...I blew out my tail light fuse and my illumination turned off inside the car..so changed them the tail fuses and electronic part fuses and it started working again...so lemme know>>>>>

Im fully aware it sounds stupid that your tail lights might be the problem for illumination inside the car..but try it and let me know.

I hate to butt in, but where is the cruise control fuse, looked all over interior panel and under hood panel.
