Defogger switch lit? -->
I noticed the other day that my rear defogger switch is not lit at night. The orange light comes on when I press the switch, but the little picture on the button isn't lit. Since the hazard light switch is lit at night, I wonder if the defogger switch should be lit too.
So, is your defogger switch lit at night?

Re: Re: I just went and looked
I managed to fix mine... i took it appart and replaced the little bulb.. IT WAS A PAIN IN THE @$$, guys.....
but worth the trouble...
they sell the bulb at radioshack actually... it's a tiny glass bulb with little wires coming out..like $1.00
the only way i can tell you to do it is figure it out...
can get greasy and DON"T loose the little spring...
or any part for that matter
and VERY easy to break... but i managed without trouble..
expect to spend a long time figuring it out and putting it back together.... wish i had little fingers

Defroster and Hazard Bulbs
Hey amixam69,
You don't happen to remember the radio shack part number for the bulbs you bought? I need to replace all of mine.
btw there is a way to replace the bulbs w/o having to take the switch as far apart as you did (down to the greasy spring). But admittedly I didn't figure it out until I took it apart down to the greasy spring. Damn what a B!tch!!

Adidas_boy - I fixed the lights on my hazard switch and my rear defroster. Thanks to an earlier post by amixam69 I was able to get replacement lamps. He found them at radio shack p/n 272-1092C (I paid 1.49 ea. for a pack of 2 lamps). Let me know if you are still trying to fix yours.

Seen this before
I noticed this the other day after I had taken the top part of the "waterfall" off to wire my Valentine into the electrical system. My defogger was no longer lit. So I popped the top part off again and made sure the wiring plug was tight, and poof, the button was lit again.
It really shouldn't be hard to take the top piece off!

Ok, I had this problem on my car. . . Whenever I took the dash apart the bulb would go out. . . Here is my fix. . . Tap the dash to the upper left of the switch pretty firmly a couple times. . . The light comes right back on. . .The lights are seated in a way that is very poor and so they are easily disloged.
PART NUMBER !
Anyone knows the o.e.m. Part number to the led in the fan speed ****. I lost to blue condom thingy when I was replacing it with a radio shack bulb it works fine, but it's mad ugly with out that blue condom because it gives out yellow light. If any body know. Please help a brother out. Thanks
