Resetting Light With Screwdriver WOW!

I just reset my check engine light and I got the codes wrote them down. Anyway I didn't know it was that easy to reset the codes. I thought you need one of the computers to do it for you. Because I worked in my cousins auto repair shop and that's how he did it. I read the FAQ and found how to do it. Another thing I reset was the airbag light. That was even easier LMAO.

I to Maxima.org.

Hey a lot better then paying for a code reader for a couple thousand. Anyway that's how much my cousin's was. His does everything. Tells you how to repair it. Its has like a 10 inch color screen. Internet enabled if there is updates.

And if you call the dealership, they'll tell you you HAVE to have a computer diagnostic to read the codes. I fell for it once... once.
I'm still bitter.

I took reading codes for free for granted. I have to purchase a $200-$300 program for mine + a pocket PC or labtop to read my codes and even make some ECU adjustments of my own through a VAG program.

For those that go to the dealer to get codes read, you deserve every *** raping that will come to you

Dealer =
Autozone and places like will scan and tell you the codes, and even sometime tell you how to fix it. All for FREE

Are you kidding me? I never knew about the ECU screw trick until this thread.

What the heck are all those Sticky's at the top of the forum - they take up too much space and what sort of word is that anyway, "Sticky"...

This was just a post to thank Maxima.org. I need to find someones credit card to donate. I am only 17 and can't get one. I also can't ask my dad since he doesn't trust the interweb.

do what my friend did. he had a credit card at 16. but this was a while ago. he put fake info n stuff. kinda funny. heh. oh, he got approved cause he put his dad's info for the primarary. so in reality it was his dad getting approved n him having a credit card in his name also. wierd, cause he didn't even have a license at that age. hehe

well, i mean, he was a minor, so how much trouble can you really get into??? plus, what he was doing was legal, just that he didn't ask his dad for permission for putting the info. n the main reason i believe it worked because i do'nt think they ask too many questions about the secondary card holder. n a lot of kids have credit cards in their name at a yougn age. so when he couldn't pay his bill, thats when he got caught, because he had to tell his dad...it was kidna funny..heh
