that's a hard choice... I'd say either black or bronze. I ended up choosing bronze cause I think it would match better with the car. But black would require less cleaning.
Whats the difference between BRONZE and bronze?
I vote for black.
For the maximum riceness for your painting dollar, I would recommend red.

I think I would go with something that matches the color of your car, gold or bronze, or beige, etc. I think the contrast against your rims would allow the calipers to stand out and yet look clean at the same time.
if you've got a pic of your car from the side, try photoshopping different colors on there.

i agree with cefiro up above. red does look the sportiest. not too ricey, really. and i think that doing body color wouldn't stand out or contrast enough/at all.
I like green but on your car I think Red would Look best..I didnt go with Red cause it was tooo flashy

It works the best that way cause it gives you a chance to clean them really well..so the paint has something to stick to...but if you want to do it fast and half A**, then paint them when they are on the carOriginally Posted by 2 Da Max
the link didnt work on how to paint it, did you guys take it completely off?

my vote is for silver. I just painted mine red, finished it today actually, but i have a blue car and i think it just makes it stand out that much more. Possibly a little ricy, but ive done a few ricy things and it works for me.
Red = Too flashy
Silver = Blends into the Rotor too much
Black = Blends into the plastic fender covers
Yellow = Yuck
Pick a color you like and go with it...

Silver wont blend in with the rotors at all, if anything they will make them more noticable. Just so you know with a gold car and black rims, red will REALLY stand out. Nothing subtle about that color combo

Quick mockup on my car. I think it would look even better on yours with your gunmetal rims.

I saw someone say they painted theirs. I assume you were able to leave your rotors on? I was thinking you had to take them off! But, covering the surrounding metals and just painting them seems MUCH easier!
I checked the How-to's, but the link was busted. How is this done?

the brembo brakes on the Z/G are a Bronze color, Brembo now that I think about it more is more seen in red, on higher end car, but I was thinking about the Z/G when I made my post.Originally Posted by 2 Da Max

I still think it will look hot on the car, keep you beige color scheme going.

thats Bronze!, gold is a brighter color. Either way that color looks good, or if you can get the exact paint that matches your car.
gold? sheesh . . .

i wasn't into the whole red thing but I did it yesterday and I really like the look of it

edit: rims are nasty and the shim is dirty so thanks . .

If you had to choose... Is the brush paint better than the spray paint??? I saw a caliper paint kit at strauss discount auto with the brush and can of paint... I figure the spray would be messy and prone to overspray, drip and miss painting some angles???
hhm personally i would never paint my calipers the same color of my car because my car is pebble beige. and its a tacky and ugly *** color to have *** calipers imo. lol i think if u had a red car or black or blue or green then its ok to paint it the same color.
soo i guess ill try it red?? but im afraid its too ricey
ok so im left with red and dark bronze

Go with the RED: with the color of your wheels and car color it will look just the RIGHT way, bronze will get lost a little and red brings a little accent to the look so thats what you need
Just my 2 cents

Bronze. matches you car, you'll have the brembo look
