well to make a long story short. my tranny is messed up and i only have 1st gear that works (auto)...... the car has been sitting in the garage for a week. tonight i added some tranny fluid thats suppose to help slipping and torque convertor lock up and took the car out in the street for a quick test run to see if i notice any differences. needless to say, immature neighbors are hangin out tonight with their cars lined up and about 20 of them chit chattin. i pass by and come back. one of them jumps infront of me and tells me to stop. so i stop and roll down the window.

here are their cars:

older body 98ish turbo eclipse
debadged 03ish c class benz
dodge ram truck
G35 with intake
surbaru impreza

after window goes down, this is how the convo goes:

Me: "whats up bro"
him: my friend wants to race you
me: sorry, im having transmission problems, i think its blown.
him: *while acting cocky as *****, hehe OH IS IT?? (kinda thinkin im scared and makin fun of me
me: yeah it is. *i put car in 2 and R and floor it, the car doesnt move. now he knows im serious.
him: what u got in this car? he wants to race u
me: just the usual intake, down pipe, nothing special. who is the guy who wants to race me?
him: the G35
me: sorry, there is no competition, ill lose.

the g35 owner jumps forward with a big smile on his face. *****, who said i can beat u, dont laugh at me like u just beat me

now at this point there is like 10 people next to my car listening to convo

me: whats done to the G
g owner: acting cocky as ****, not wanting to talk. INTAKE
me: cool, stick or auto?
g owner: doesnt reply

then i see them acting cold so now i want to leave as im not here to prove any points nor looking for an argument.

me: aite bro, i better get going, im blocking the traffic in this avenue
him: wait a minute, who did ur bodykit?
me: myself
him: looks like it, u shoulda done it professionaly. it looks crooked and barely hangin. with a smile on his face.
me: oh IT IS ?? good to know. *now mind u, my kit looks CLEAN as hell, u dont even see any screws what so ever, nicely attached with 3m tape.

the dude goes around my car and i get out to see wtf is going on while turnin car off and windows rolled up and doors locked.

him: ur window spoiler is on with 3m tape? oh i can see the tape !! it looks like its coming off (while pullin on it)
me: IT DOES???
him: why do u spend ur money on this car.
me: because i want to
him: starts laughin. go down the block i wanna see how fast ur car is.

as pissed as i am, i go make a u turn, come in 1st and 3k rpm. as furious as i am, i floor the living **** out of the car and take it all the way to 6k rpm and let go. intake and y pipe were SCREAMING. ohh u guys had to watch them all gettin the **** outta the way and jumpin on the curb.

i come back
me: yeah, nothing special, not too fast..
him: no comment:
him: i wanna race u.
me: which is ur car? ill race u in a month when my car is up and running
him: the C55
me: *thinkin to myself, not wanting to disrespect the guy, laughin at his ***, cuz there was no c55 back in 2k3 or so*
me: its debadged, i wouldnt know, pop the hood
him: nah dude, its a c230.
me: oh now its a c230?
me: u got a big *** dent on ur quarter panel. then i was going to make fun of how he had dual exhaust with 2 tips on each side but i figured id let it go cuz i dont want them to mess with my car or get any ideas. so i said good bye and left.

i cant believe people can diss maxima owners like this. they dont even know me and they talk **** about my car. just wanted to sahre the story.

dude I woulda left in about 10 seconds in that stupid situation...if your car was up and running I would have pleasantly taken them on and showed them up....but with something stupid like that, you just gotta leave politely.......also, a g35 will take your max, but sometimes people are stupid and dont know how to drive..... best advice, grip your fist and just leave, no reason to stay around with a bunch of stupid punks...........ALSO: if they start **** for no reason, call the police and tell them someone out of that crowd said they had a gun and they were gonna use it....cops would be all over that ****, searching those cars in and out

Those guys are probably high on something the way they were talking nit-picking on every little thing on your car. The first 30 seconds of the convo should have prompted you to bid your farewell and move on. I don't waste time on those types of people. Just the fact that the kid jumps infront of your car as you drive down the street is enough to get me wondering if the guy has a screw loose or something. I can't stand dumb neighbors like that, I am surrounded by the same type of neighbors. I wish I can make them all disappear with a snap of my fingers....oh well wishful thinking.

OH BTW, you will have your *** handed to you over and over again if you decide to race the G35. Plus now that your car likes to give you all kinds of problems, don't give it another reason to break your bank once again.

Eh, don't sweat those kids...they are a waste of time period. Those kinds of people always go around like they got something to prove to everyone. Show them that you are not like them. I can smell trouble from those people, bring more org members into the mix will just complicate things. What happens if the maxima crew beats every single one of them?? Believe me, stuff like this can snowball easily. Plus the fact that they know where you live is even worse. I just don't get into the mix with the neighbors and all. It's best that they don't know a thing about me to kinda keep their distance from me and think twice about whatever they are thinking about.

I remember a while ago when a neighboor of mine with an Eclipse was rolling out of Bally's Total Fitness and there was a nice long straight stretch...and I knew he was gonna go for it...that's why i kept my Max over 3K on 2nd and when he floored it so did I and needless to say the results...Funny thing was when i got home he parked on his driveway 2 house down from mine other side of my sidewalk. I didnt even know he was my neighboor back then...tho the Ecplise did have a familiar look. He got off and asked me what did I have on my Max... since then ... we are cool friends. and he's modding the ecplise to go one night for the revenge... ... now on good terms of course... lol
