i'm now want an exhaust. i found this on ebay for $47 plus $17 ship/hand
does anybody have any experience with apexi exhausts?

also, the tip kinda looks long but it shouldn't stick out of the bumper if u install right, right?
description:
IF YOUR CAR USES 90 DEGREE BENDS RIGHT BEFORE THE MUFFLER, THIS WILL PROBABLY NOT FIT PROPERLY.
THE INLET IS 2.5" AND THE OUTLET IS 4.5". THE BODY OF THE MUFFLER IS 13.3" X 10.23".

so does our CARs USE 90 DEGREE BENDS RIGHT BEFORE THE MUFFLER?

No, whaere does it say it's a REAL apexi WS? It says WS style. We have no 90* bend. Either way the WS has an offset inlet not center, it doesn't have a weird looking tip like that, looks double walled or something, and the WS tip outlet is under 4" not 4.5. Plus the WS muffler is around $300.

yes sounds just like stock, in the first place it was designed by apexi for the daily driver in mind without making excessive noise. it also has a great growl at WOT

hmm, not a slight deepened tone or anything at idle or during low rpm? will the cai, y-pipe effect the sound? i'm not saying i want a loud *** ricy muffler.

If it sounds like stock, then why spend the money to get something that's shiny? The Y-pipe makes a dramatic difference in sound when using mufflers.

The NON Apexi one you posted is not a rice can. I'm sure it is louder than the REAL Apexi, but it does have the same tone. My buddy had it installed on his 5spd Maxima with a custom 2.5" pipe. The only thing I didn't like was how the exhaust shop hung the exhaust other than that it had a very deep tone to it no bees in the can.

Can't really remember what a greddy sounds like. I use to have tons of videos on my computer, but had to blow them all the way due to a 4 year old computer can't keep up with huge files.

But anyway, to be honest I don't even think the wannabe WS was very loud.

saying this:

CONCEPT: Traditional style canister for classy sport look while improving overall performance. Low decible output for comfortable street use.

CHARACTERISTICS: Improved performance throughout the powerband, focusing on low to mid range torque. Deep exhaust note.

i'm just gonna call em up and ask em myself

wait the knockoff shouldn't even fit cause inlets 2.5'' unless u have a 2.5 b-pipe.
isn't it 2.25 stock?

well, i have 1 more consideration, the MagnaFlow Street Series Universal Mufflers. of course there a bit louder but only to a certain extent and not ricey i heard. either the 2nd or 3rd looks good. what is a double wall?

why would you just buy the muffler and not upgrade the bpipe to 2.5" anyway?

yes that's spending more dollars. But you do realize that a muffler does not increase any power, correct? It's just there for sound. If you want power I'd suggest going to an exhaust shop and have them make you a 2.5" pipe.

If you don't want power well you should have bought a Civic.

yes, i knew that before hand. basically almost like CAI's, u only gain about 1-2hp.
well i got most of the power from my cai, y-pipe, straight, and custom "2.25" b-pipe combined
but just wanted more sound out of it.

If you want an exhaust:

1.) Greddy SP 2
2.) Apexi WS/WS2
3.) OBX (for the louder groans)
4.) Do your own custom setup

Be sure to go with a whole catback and not just the muffler. It's not bad, but you'll get a deeper tone with a full setup.

You're only saying get the GREDDY over the WS cause you have the WS. The WS is a better cat-back hands down but since it's discontinued the greddy would be my choice.
Also id some of you are thinking of spending the $160 on the ws2 muffler, you're dumb. It's a muffler and has no power gains whatsoever. If you want it for the sound, the knock off is the same.

i'm kinda confused about this thread....

either its just about having a type of exhaust....or power gains....or what i'm confused...

i have teh ws2 and its the quiestest exhaust i havent heard the sp nor the sp2 but i've heard good things about it.

what ever you do make sure you get a catback and not the muffler...2.5 piping sounds good... good luck on your exhaust woes!

just realized that the 80mm/105 version is the 3in version for turbocharged cars. so there really is no 2.5 version except the one joman has cause its a prototype

My Intake + Warpspeed Y-Pipe and Apexi N1 (not WS) makes LOUD noise. I've already gotten 2 tickets for "noisy muffler" $54 each.

really didn't want to start this again, just wanted to get that thing pointed out.

bottom line: i know a muffler doesn't really do anything other than sound and looks.
but i already have some power to back that up from the other parts. also wanted somewhat of a quiet muffler so i chose the apexi. some said do the 2.5 piping as i thought about it 2, but there is no 2.5 ws2 version and if i really wanted to do it, i would of had to choose another exhaust, and spend more $.

plus, in the stickies i heard 2.5 does increase power but not dramatically of course
