300zx tt brake caliper ?s

I was wondering if the 300tt brake calipers are a direct bolt-on? Thanks for any input.

You racing? if the answer is no, then you do need these and no they are not an exact bolt on. If I remember right you need another caliperbracket.

What's racing got to do with wanting to stop better?

They are direct bolt on if you want to use 300ZX rotors that need the diameter mild down, so you end up with smaller rotors. There are two bracket suppliers on the org that enable you to go with larger rotors. Mattblem offers complete or partial kits with 12.6" 04 Maxima rotors:

Or Jeff92se offers a bracket & hub rings to mount 13" Mustang cobra rotors, which is the route I went, I'm not supercharged and I don't race but I like the idea of a BBK at an affordable price (did mine for under $500 and I need new calipers anyway!) that drastically reduces my stopping distance, I'm only more concerned of being rear ended! The biggest obstacle is rim size being minimum of 17" and also as important is offset unless you want to get into spacers as the 300ZX caliper is very wide, but hey 4 piston stopping powa! Also check out PAGE 5 of my domain. Hope this helps and good luck. Here's a couple of old threads with valuable info:

they are a direct bolts and milling down the rotors my 3mm isnt gonan hurt becuase 300zx rotors are still bigger than our rotors.....so u get a slightly bigger rotor and 3 more pistins to stop on.....and i my opinion our cars stop good stock....but i like 300zx calipers so i will get them anyway plus i auto-x and they will reduce fade by bigger slightly larger

I can't remember if the stock Z32 rotors are any larger than the stock maxima rotors or not. I thought they were the same size. But I do know the mounting dimnensions are different. Thus requiring all FWD nissans to have to shave the Z rotor in order for the calipers to be a bolt on affair. So I think you end up with a smaller rotor. But only by the smallest of margins. Still a decent upgrade. But not a 13" cobra rotor upgrade

Do you mill down the rotor thickness or the rotor diameter? Sounds like diameter..
