Great News!!!

Yeah so I bought the 5th Gen clutch setup, and am having a mechanic friend put it in as we speek, while re-building my 5-speed Trany...

My tranny was shot, and the clutch was slipping, so bad between the two that i could not use second, and 4-5 were going to. Second gear was grinding real bad for a while now, and i have been avoiding it till i got this work done. When i got the quote i was told that 2nd gear would have to be replaced while re-building the tranny, and possibly other gears too seeing as how i drove so long with it grinding...

Well needless to say, I called to check in today, and he has the tranny apart, and all he can see that has to be replaced is the syncros & Bearings no gears are bad... I just saved $200-$600 for gears...

YEAH!!!

I AM GETTING EXCITED NOW

I WILL BE BREAKING HER IN FRIDAY IF ALL GOES WELL...

he said his mechanic is doing it. What the point of stating you can untighten the nuts on yours? unless that was a typo?
