I was wondering if the CD changers for Nissans was interchangeable between years.... i.e. does the in trunk changer for the '97 Max work for the 2000+ Max? Because if it does, then theoretically, the 2000 CD changer should work for the 4th gen head units....

If so, the dealer near me has this awesome deal on in-dash factory Nissan 6 disc changers. They're going for like $250. They are a single din height, perfect for those GXE owners. If it'll work, I was thinking of trying to fit it in the pocket underneath my 4th gen double-din Bose head unit...

Pretty neat, 6 disc in dash in a single din size.

btw, the top of the unit says Nissan... and in small letters says manufactuered by Clarion.
