You should feel a difference in throttle response right away (once you've reset the ECU to clear the KS code).

Well, it seems your knock sensor was likely good. Many, many, seem to be replacing their knock sensors....many are probobly still good....

One more thing....

Doesn't a bad o2 sensor also trigger the ks code sometimes?

To be honest, it took me about a week to feel all the power back... I didn't feel the power right after installation.

Just my observation...

I tested mine and i got 490 mega ohms. Some threads here said it should be anyware from 500 to 650. I have no codes.

Should i replace it since it is out of spec?

since for some strange reason i cannot start my own threads, i'm going to jack this one...

i have a bad KS code and i'm looking to replace it. auto shop has a Borg-Warner knock sensor for 100 bucks, cheapest i can find on ebay is 100 bucks (and about a 7-10 day wait on shipping), but it is an oem nissan part. any reason why i should go wait for the nissan one, or just go with the aftermarket? any problems any knows or have heard of??

So if you don't get a KS code, your Ks is okay?

keep in mind your check engine light WILL NOT come on, even if you have a bad KS, you have to test for it. if you don't get the code you should be fine...

on another note, who can i talk to about why i can't make new topics or why i can't PM???

You must have 15 posts before the system will allow you to make new threads.

Congratulations, that last post was your 15th post. You should be able to make new threads now.

now how about my other question? is there any benifet to getting an oem nissan knock sensor over another name brand, such as borg warner? or is a knock sensor just a knock sensor?
