Leather Seat Back

Has anyone had this problem ? The back part of my front seats has fallen off I imagine because of the heat of the summer. Is there a way to re attach them ? I tried some epoxy and that didn't work, and the plastic clips that were holding them on from the factory have apperently lost their ability to hold the seatback on too !

hgappend to me, well i bought used leathers and the back already cam like that. the hole for the lil clip got worn away so the clip no longer holds it, and to make matters worse the lil staples that hold the leather in have come off which left the leather skin just hanging. i fixed the leather with some "clothing adhesive" my girl got for me from a rag shop. and as far as reatatching the entire backing to the seat i just brought it to a shop, i dont know what they did but it cost 25 bux and it has been holding up ever since so im thanxful.

if you dont want to bring it to a shop to be done, maybe a stronger adhesive would work. also one which is very sticky. some glues are strong but arent very sticky when you apply it, try to find one which goes on very thick and will create a nice bond. wat epoxy did you originaly use.

I forgot the name of the adhesive, it's in the glove compartment right now. It said it was especially for leather and vinyl.
