BOMZ CAI, does it require cutting? True CAI?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33659

Just wondering if anyone knows if this "CAI" is a true CAI or hybrid.

How big is the tubing? (Need to know which size K&N cone)

Is cutting required?

Thanks in advanced

The tubing is about 3" in diameter...I imagine it would be a "true" CAI. Cutting may be needed to get the filter down below. Not to sure... Hope this helped.

I Installed the bomz system on my 99. The down pipe requiered cutting to have it installed. what i did was use an adaptor plate from the filter to the MAFS (mass air flow sensor), from that i used a coupler to the sensor tube then a coupler to my throttle bodie. I just converted mine from a true CAI to a Ram air intake , works perfectly.it was a true CAI untill i got my hands on it. As for the filter diameter im not sure i think its like 2.5 inches.

Hope this helps

its evident in my pics in one of the links, you have to take out the fuse box, the battery, and do a decent amount of snippig to get in there. needless to say its a pain. Just do like max out. I still think my car got slower from that mod.
