quick rim question

Guys has anyone put a set of acura 3.2 type s on there max or i30. I am lookin at a set and the bolt patter in 5x114 but the tires are 215/50/R17. Would it fit and if so would it look bad? below is the pics of the wheels.

As long as the bolts fit into the holes, should be fine. The tires are not wide enough to rub so that's ok. I think they look nice. How much you get them for?

It will be tucked in the fender more so than stock because of its offset.

yes..the rims would fit...on the other hand..the tires are too small and also the acura's offset is higher than the maximas...wouldnt recommend them but try if you would like

IIRC these are 45mm offset. If you get them, remember that:

Get spacers to make it look right
The spokes on the rims protrude outwards of the tire so there is a good chance of scraping it
These rims with your average 215/50R17 tires are 49-51lbs
CL-S rims are .5" wider than TL-S rims

You might want to check the center hub size on the Acura.... I was told that they are less than 66mm.... so the hub would have to be enlarged to fit on the car. I have not checked personally just passing along info I was told

It should fit the hub, its just that you can't use the center cap because it gets in the way that it sucks

i'm running 225/40/18 right now. but be careful i had 2 sets of 18s n 2 sets of 17s. the 18's were alwyas bent. mine is bent right now. but the 17's were fine. the right tire size for our care is 235/40/18 and can still go a lil bigger. difference i believe between the 225/40/18 n 235/40/18 is about .5 inch difference

4th gen max's never came with 18" rims

stock sizes are something more like
215/55-16 for the SE and
205/65-15 for GXE

by the way, I have these exact size tires and I have nothing close to a rubbing problem.

You def want to check the offset tho, It does look like these rims will sit more inside the well than stock, and you prob won't be able to have center caps

Using 10mm spacers might allow it to clear the hub in order to use the center cap. These rims IIRC are 45mm offset.

who cares about offset just get some spacers to push then out a little bit....but IMO Acura wheels dont belong on a Nissan...if they were Lexus IS300 wheels then i would say ok

Get 235 R17 /45 or 50 215 will not look good, your rims will stick out more then your tires.

I agree, I wouldn't even worry about those acura center caps,
through some nissan ones on there, that would look interesting to anyone who knows better
