Anyone think this is something I can address myself, being a n00b who hasn't done anything besides installing suspension and brake parts?

If you do, any assistance would be appreciated. I have no idea where to even begin...

You can thank Dave Sz for these: http://img52.photobucket.com/albums/v158/evilBIGD/EGR/

That should get you started. Cheers.

I WAS LOOKING FOR THOSE!

Don't think I'll be able to do anything about it... looks too complicated for me. But thanks a ton!

Time to save them once and for all...

You're welcome... the EGR stuff is not "hard" to replace, its just awkward to get to - not much space and lots of vacuum/exhaust lines. Any mechanic should be able to swap out the solenoid for you (if you don't take it on yourself).

i pumped out the lines and cleaned them with intake cleaner and the code hasn't returned yet. (knock on wood)
