you will probably get more skin with the Merc... females know that brand wayyy much better. And, since you are 21........ this is an essential part of your existence.
Or.... you could get a new Maxima and invest the rest of the money in your future?

neither of those, you could save buying that 50K car and wait for the GTR, but I take it from you selection your looking for your "grown man" vehicle which a GTR doesnt fit the roll. I'm not a Merc fan so I'd never buy one no matter how "grown man" I'm trying to be. Is this something just for you to drive, you and family? Could get a decent Porsche, but I'd go with G35 all options and still have change left over to put coil overs and rims and look fresh

What do you do that you can afford a 50 thousand dollar car at 21? Unless someone else is paying for it.....

Was thinking the same thing. I'm a 41 yr old professional with a solid job and couldn't touch either one. How does a 21 yr old do it?! I think I'd stay away from the M for this year as it is a first year model and will, no doubt, have some bugs to be worked out.

Very good of your Dad to work with you on this. Wish my Pop had the means to help when I was young and searching for that first brand new perfect beast. GL with your decision.

Easy big fella. I believe he was directing this comment to the young gentleman who posted this thread.

This post is retarded. It doesn't belong in this Forum. This is worse than the Y-Pipe, etc. threads. If you have $25k to spend (plus another $25k from your father) you should be a big enough man to make your own choices.

If that's the case my bad...

Anyway to the original poster... Whatever you do, go drive each of the cars you considering before making a decision. A nice long test drive will make up your mind much easier than somebody here on the org suggesting something

Well definity the E320 can attract a bit more attention but Mercedes is such an old man's brand. The M35/M45 series are killing the BMW in magazine ratings because they're cheaper. Why not go for a Lancer Evo MR...You should be plenty please...I think it can kick most of the cars listed here.

Why spend $50,000 on a car that will be worth $25,000 it three years? And worth $10,000 in 6 years? That's the worst financial decision you could make. But hey, if you've got lots of disposable (and I do mean that literally and figuratively) income, great. I'd go with the Infiniti then.

What can I say, I'm very practically minded... Good luck with your fancy new wheels!

EDIT:
Why not get an awesome 3-year-old car for $25,000 and own it by yourself? Now that would be hot. Ha ha. Personally, I don't like to share my toys

Buy someting a year or two old. That way you don't lose out on the depreciation.

I got the solution. Get whatever you want because it is your money. As for the recommendation ... don't go with the merc. M3, TL, Max, and M35 all kick ***. Don't buy a used car. If your case was tight financially then yes do get a used car, but since you are going for the "grown car" and have the 50K to toss around, why not. Besides you never know what that used car has been through.

Damn I want a '02 6-Speed Max REAL bad.

ever consider a cadillac? ::zips flamesuit:: i am not a big fan of domestic cars but the '05 STS with the V8 is badass and its available in RWD or AWD. i believe it to be the domestic market's first world class sedan. the cars you are considering are amazing as well, just drive the hell out of every one before you commit.--dave

speaking of toasty, buy a whole bunch of sandwiches. Sure cars are great, but think of how many sandwiches you could get with fifty thousand dollars. . . mmmmmmmmmmmm.............oh snap, scratch that. get a whole bunch of mo-peds and race them with your friends. That would be sweet!

Definitely go with the 06 M35 out of your selection, the car is sick, less expensive to fix in the future if needed, and not as many people have it. But yea, i think this thread is pointless...
