REQ: VSS Part Number.

Can someone please provide me with the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) part number that Nissan uses for 99 manual transmission? I am unable to locate this number and all of the website I have looked have no reference. Thanks for the assist.

Driving without a working VSS has been a pain. I have to keep my radio/dvd volume down so I can listen to the engine to know when to shift. It's totally driving this way.

that's funny!

I have FAST at home too - that doesn't help you right now... call Dan Tech at midwaypartsteam.com - he'll hook you up.

For those that will need this part in the future, the Nissan OE part number for a VSS for manual transmission is 3270231u00. Looks like I will have to deal with this new driving style for a few more days since part is not instock locally and will take a few days to get.

Well, I replaced the VSS and harness today, cleared the codes and my gauges still don't work. The VSS was tested with a multimeter and found to be in good working order. The strange thing is that the gauges have sometimes worked while I'm driving but then go dead again at a moments notice. Before I was receiving a P0500 (Vehicle Speed Sensor A) code but have not received any codes yet but I have only driven it for a few miles after new VSS was installed. I have already checked all of my fuses and found no problems. The instrument cluster is receiving power as my gauges, warning and turn indicator lights all turn on with the ignition. I guess I will now have to check the wiring and the instrument cluster over the weekend but was hoping that someone had an idea of what else could be wrong. Thanks for reading.
